We were so excited when we received our first Tend to You care package. It was filled with home goods from local businesses. My grandma and I are both breast cancer survivors. At the time of the care package, my grandmother had completed her chemotherapy journey so receiving this care package with soap, tea, herbal scents (reminded her of sage) and honey; she was beyond grateful and appreciative. She only let me take the candle 🤣! The Tend to You care package is heaven sent for those undergoing treatment. It provides them with supplies from local businesses that many could explore and choose to continue shopping at. The most important factor was that many of the items were safe for cancer patients.

In the fall of 2020 I was diagnosed with cancer, and shortly afterwards Ellie reached out to me to express her concern. We were friends in college, and I knew she had been through her own battle with cancer so it meant a lot that she reached out to me to see if I needed anything or if there was anything she could do. She even offered to get me in contact with someone she knew who had been through a similar diagnosis, anything to help. Typical Ellie.
She told me all about Tend to You and sent me a wonderful care package, and I was impressed. It was filled with great locally sourced and natural products such as tea, honey, candles, bath salts, and even a packet of seeds to start growing my own herbs! The package looked lovely and even smelled lovely too! I was surprised to find that there was even more in the box, something that really makes the Tend to You care packages unique, and that was the access to pre-recorded cooking class videos, an appointment with their registered dietitian, and even a nutritional and mental health talk.
Tend to You has put a great amount of thought and detail into their care packages. Ellie and her team have certainly gone the extra mile and put in a lot of effort to include unique products and activities that can be helpful, entertaining, and wholesome to someone while going through their cancer diagnosis. For someone like me who was out of work and at home for months, the activities and access to videos and phone calls actually gave me something to do. They even created the "Tend Seal System" to rate how involved the activity is since, as we know, some days you feel great, and other days...not so great. The Tend to You package was wonderful, just like everything else that Ellie and her team at Tend have put together. If this is only the beginning for Tend to You, I can't wait to see what they flourish into, and I know many people will benefit from Ellie's passion for helping and caring for anyone facing their own cancer battle.

Dearest Ellie, I thank you again for blessings me with the Tend To You care package which was a total surprise! All of the products that were provided to me were truly awesome and definitely made me feel really good. The contents within the packet were fun and took my mind off of everything that I am about to endure.
I enjoyed the tea with the pure bee well honey. It was delicious! And the aromatherapy of the candle also had a calming effect. The bath salts are what I needed to wind down in the evening. I look forward to using the natural roots & sage especially for my skin which most likely will change due to the discoloration of my skin which will occur during my treatments. Thanks again Ellie, and I look forward to obtaining more products.

And the activities that I can do at my own pace! I’m looking forward to the Discovery Nutrition session, Nutrition Rewired ( nutrition is so important). Pasta class will be interesting and fun. Can’t wait for the greens ( I was really in the mood for some fresh tender greens today - but I’m gonna have to wait).
